Critically acclaimed filmmaker, Kerry Laitala will present her luminous and phantasmagorical brand of cinema in this exclusive screening, featuring her latest work, Muse of Cinema plus a selection of earlier shorts.

Described by the Edinburgh Film Festival as "an alchemist deeply absorbed in a process", Laitala draws on "Film noir, mystical surrealism, psychoanalysis, fairy tales, a cacophony of symbols and stylistic devices which are used in the creation of these consistently enigmatic and richly crafted films"

Vladmasters are handmade View-MasterT reels designed, photographed, and hand-assembled by Vladimir.

Don't miss this one-off performance where every attendee is given a View-MasterT with disks and led through a story by a soundtrack featuring music, narration, sound effects, and ding noises to cue the image changes.

The Vladmaster makes use of toys, neglected household objects, and odd ephemera to tell 28-picture tales of train chases, missing steam shovels, disastrous dinner parties, and overly adventurous cockroaches. The clack of hundreds of viewers fills the air and mass euphoria ensues!
